Storming the Bastille

After years of harsh taxation the people of the third estate decided that we had quite enough and on the night of July 14 1789 we stormed the Bastille. At the gates there were many guards with guns that were commanded to fire at us but they refused because the crowd all had guns but the guards didn't know that we didn't have any ammo or gunpowder. Because of the guards hesitance we were able to over run the Bastille, take the king away from power and obtain all the gunpowder and ammo that we would need. I would say that God was definitely on our side that night.
